Rose Petal Sour Ingredients
- 50ml Ballantine’s Finest
- 20ml Fresh lemon juice
- 20ml Rose petal syrup
- 15ml Egg whites OR 4 drops of vegan foaming bitters
- Rose petals, to garnish
How to make a Rose Petal Sour
- Combine all the ingredients into a shaker.
- Fill with cubed ice and give a good shake.
- Double strain into a rocks glass full of fresh ice or into a martini glass.
HOW TO MAKE ROSE PETAL SYRUP
To make your rose petal syrup, combine 100g fragrant rose petals or dried rose petals, 500g caster sugar , 500g water and 1 tbsp rose water into a pan. Simmer until the sugar dissolves. Let to rest for 1 hour until cool. Strain out the rose petals and bottle the liquid.
