1. Passion fruit sour
A get-together with your friends for cocktails? We have it under control. The passion fruit whiskey sour is a drink that will break your mind because it tastes as tropical as it gets. And it only takes two minutes to mix it.
The strong, sweet flavor of the passion fruit puree is the star of the show, with an extra touch of fresh lime juice. Add a 12-year-old whiskey Ballentine’s and you’ve created an impressive drink.
2. Maple syrup whiskey sour
Maple syrup and whiskey are a heavenly combination. The vanilla-caramel flavor of the syrup combines perfectly with the smooth and spicy finish of the Scotch whisky. So naturally, the maple whiskey sour is a variation of this classic cocktail that you have to try.
Simply swap out the sugar syrup for the maple syrup from our whiskey sour recipe.
3. Lychee sour
If you like drinks a little fruitier, the lychee sour is a cocktail that you will want to have in your recipe book. Inspired by the flavors of the east, it’s fruity, flavorful, and easy to make.
All you need to do is choose an impressive story about the origin… A drink you discovered in the center of Shanghai? A new recipe that some new friends made in Thailand passed on to you? Or did you invent it yourself? We’ll let you take the credit this time.
4. Honey and lemon whiskey sour
Also known as Gold Rush, this sweet and relaxing whiskey sour is perfect for evenings by the fire. In addition, it has a close relationship with the Hot Toddy, a cocktail so comforting and so full of warmth and goodness that it can put an end to the winter cold… allegedly.
Swap out the sugar for honey and add one more squeeze of lemon juice to create this whiskey sour variation.
5. Cherry whiskey sour
A very fruity variation on the classic whiskey sour, for this recipe you need all things sweet and juicy. The clue is in the name. Cherries, sugar, and more cherries are the main ingredients in this cherry whiskey sour. In addition to a generous splash of Ballantine’s Wild, our new blend with the sweet and tangy taste of… cherry, right!
Pull out a round the next time you want to impress your guests or enjoy a great night out for yourself. It is a guaranteed success.
6. Rosemary whiskey sour
Herbs have long been a widely used garnish for luxury cocktails, but they also bring great freshness when mixed with liquid ingredients.
We love this herbaceous twist on the classic whiskey sour. Aromatic rosemary syrup goes great with lemon and whiskey, a very good drink for adults-only picnics.
Make your own syrup by infusing rosemary sprigs in sugar and water. You’ll get extra points if it’s freshly cut from your garden, but if it isn’t, we won’t tell anyone.
7. New True sour
This is a festive approach to the New York sour; specifically, a whiskey sour with wine. A layer of sparkling egg white over red wine creates a seasonal cocktail for all your holiday celebrations.
We add a spicy pear syrup to ours to get that sweet touch. It takes a while to make, but it’s delicious (you can also store it in the fridge for 4 weeks to pour some on an ice cream, a cake or to make more sour cocktails).
8. Cranberry and orange whiskey sour
This one goes a little with the seasons. The cranberry orange whiskey sour is the perfect addition to your party menu, complete it with a ginger beer topping for extra fizz. Finish it with some cranberries and a few orange slices for a festive touch.
9.WHISKY SOUR PICANTE
