Boiler Room x Ballantine’s are proud to present True Music Studios, a series of event space residencies bringing inclusive experiences to audiences around the world, whether in real life or streamed from home. Committed to creating a safer, fairer future for music culture, True Music Studios will bring together artists, promoters and panellists to celebrate and broadcast local sounds and ideas that are moving music culture forward. After an 18 month break from live events, the residencies will open their doors for up to ten days, offering a series of 30+ inclusive music events to bring fans back together.
Taking place across eight countries – Russia, Spain, South Africa, Ukraine, Cameroon, Colombia, Kenya, and the USA – True Music Studios will feature live performances, workshops, educational events and community experiences curated by cutting edge collaborators who are pushing local music scenes forward.
From Ms Nina curating a New Wave Perreo and Spanish Rap extravaganza in Madrid, to DBN Gogo bringing you Amapiano from Johannesburg and Kedr Livanskiy coming in live from Moscow’s Club, Hip-Hop and Alt-pop scene, audiences can look forward to pioneering headline acts as well as special guest appearances by those defining each local scene.
There will also be educational ‘in conversation’ talks with leading artists, promoters and producers, as well as workshops led by local collectives. Community events will see local promoters being handed the keys to the True Music Studios to set the stage for emerging talent, providing listening sessions and creative spaces where music collectives can collaborate.
