Back in March 2020 we pledged our support to long term True Music partner Boiler Room to fund music creators and their communities in areas most affected by COVID-19
In making this pledge we gave creators the opportunity to continue to do what they love and make a living.
Six months on, the Ballantine’s x Boiler Room Streaming From Isolation series has come to an end, having reached a massive 70 million people world-wide, with 30 million views.
In total the we have donated £100,000 in the form of twenty grants of £5,000 to music collectives around the globe from Barcelona based LGBTQ collective Maricas to Cxema collective from Ukraine. In return, musicians and collectives broadcast weekly sets from their homes on Boiler Room channels and entertained millions during lockdown when they needed it the most.
