Once again we joined forces with Boiler Room to present a brand new True Music experience – ‘In The Round’ – a series of socially distanced live-broadcast events to bring live music back in real life and online.

London
Kicking off the series, we welcomed global superstar and Banku pioneer Mr Eazi who brought the pop, highlife and dancehall heat on a chilly London evening, alongside a global audience locked in via Zoom
Mr Eazi was joined by up-and-coming soulful RnB singer Zilo representing the UK.
Each leg of In The Round will be raising funds for causes close to the artists’ hearts. Selected by Mr Eazi, the London edition backs Project Protect; a fund providing financial, medical and legal resources during and after #ENDSars protests in Nigeria.

South Africa
After an amazing show in London, the Boiler Room x Ballantine’s True Music In The Round series landed in South Africa bringing together two of the country’s finest; Pretoria rapper Focalistic (aka the ‘Pitori Maradona’) and singer, rapper & producer from the Alexandra township Marcus Harvey.
Taking place at No. 1 Eloff in Johannesburg on 19 November 2020, the artists performed to their family, friends and fans for the first time since the pandemic began.
This show raised money for “Feed Our Crew” – a charity helping the local events community worst affected by the pandemic.

In The Round travelled next to Rio with Planet Hemp superstar Marcelo D2 & São Paulo-based singer & composer Tàssia Reis.
The show raised funds for Afro Reggae — one of the world’s most pioneering NGOs in the world, working to restore hope & peace to the favelas of Rio. Support and donate if here if you can
In The Round Rio De Janeiro Performances
Spain
The final instalment of Boiler Room x Ballantine’s True Music In The Round took place in Barcelona, Spain with one of the most important Spanish artists of today, Latin Grammy Award-winning rapper Mala Rodriguez. Mala’s unique performance featured the debut of an exclusive, unreleased track performed live for the first time to fans from around the world.
