Sin Sync is a feminist and decolonial DJ school for beginners, where resources to learn DJing are shared in a space free of mansplaining in our community of students, DJs and artists. “Sin Sync School” was born at the end of 2018 as a project by Chilean-Venezuelan DJ and visual artist Isamit Morales; first as a pilot workshop, in the context of a residency project programmed by tmtmtmt in Hangar (Barcelona). Since 2019 it relocated as an ongoing workshop and party in Sala VOL, thanks to a collaboration with L’Afluent cooperative.
The platform includes:
– Courses, for beginners and for intermediates (on-site and online)
-“Sin Sync Prom Party”, where students who have completed the course get to share their learning process publicly in an actual clubbing context
-Radio show in Dublab Barcelona, monthly space moderated by Isamit Morales seeking to expand and redefine themes that emerge at the intersection of technologies and feminisms
-Sin Sync Djs, the community space for DJs interwoven within the course. From here, Sin Sync platform and promote the work of emerging artists sharing their mixes, sessions and ideas on projects with Sin Sync’s shared values.
