The True Music Fund

It’s time to take action. That’s why we have launched the True Music Fund. A £100,000 fund to support grassroots organisations actively working to achieve diversity and inclusion in music culture.

It’s all about providing support for emerging local music-focused organisations and collectives, to help elevate the essential work they are doing to promote diversity and inclusion within their communities, as they strive for equality in music. The money is being awarded to a range of deserving recipients, from safe space event promoters, to groups creating opportunities for marginalised groups.

To distribute the funding, we’re partnering with True Music alumni and global media partners such as Chica Gang, Dope St Jude & Honey Dijon to identify a music-focused organization that they believe deserves our support. Each of the group will be awarded £10,000 to contribute to their work. We’ll be following their journey to understand how this funding will be impacting their work, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
