DJ Coco Em

Nairobi based DJ Coco Em is well known for her eclectic sets, which dive deep into the contemporary Kenyan sound as well as from genres grown further afield, including hip-hop, afro house and other styles of electronic music. Her style and notoriety have earned her residencies at Nairobi’s most prominent venues, including the Alchemist and as part of the nine-strong female D collective Femme Electronic, she has also garnered a residency at the Kenya Gizia Lounge, a part of the National Theatre.

Kat La Kat

Kat La Kat is a DJ who has been creating waves in his hometown of Pretoria for some time and is currently on a vertical trajectory within South Africa. A true storyteller and selector, his ability to create mixes full of hypnotic energy and contagious rhythms have made him one of the most in-demand underground DJs in SA.

Awesome Tapes from Africa

Brian Shimkovitz known to most as Awesome Tapes From Africa was on a scholarship in Ghana when he got hooked on-a cassette featuring the sounds of the region. Since then, has become synonymous in introducing the frantic drum bounce and poetic storytelling of Senegalese Taasu, the dancehall-inspired hip-hop of Ghanaian hiplife and the disco swagger of South African Tsonga electro to new audiences.

Casa Voyager

Casa Voyager is the label started by Driss Bennis in 2017 to promote the emerging and alternative musical styles in Morocco. Borne out of frustration at the lack of diversity in the spectre of alternative culture, four artists; Kosh, Polyswitch, Yacine Hajji, and Driss Bennis started the movement to no longer let the creative process be inhibited by social norms and barriers. Casa Voyager is for the curious amateur in need of adventurous electronic music that is so dearly missing from the Moroccan cultural landscape.

Esa & Mim Suleiman

Well versed in production and DJing, as well as being ringleader and curator of the Ata Kak band, the London-based South African and Phonox resident Esa draws on musical influences from all four corners of the globe, to bring a uniquely honed sound, that pays homage to this expansive musical identity. Joining him on stage will be the vocal talents of Mim Suleiman, one of the most respected recording artists of her time. Ranging from soul, blues, funk, house, jazz, rock and dance, her musical vibes always touch on her African heritage.
