SPICED JULEP

This may look like a standard julep but inside that tin cup is a delicious secret: Lime and Ginger. Mix it up for a spicy sweet hit suitable for any occasion.

INGREDIENTS

  • 50ml Ballantine’s 12
  • 12.5ml lime juice
  • Vanilla sugar
  • Fresh ginger
  • Mint leaves
  • Crushed ice

HOW TO MAKE IT

  • In a Julep mug, muddle the fresh ginger with lime juice and sugar. If you like it sweet, go easy on the lime.
  • Add mint leaves, half of the Ballantine’s measure and half of the lime juice. Add crushed ice and start stirring.
  • Repeat step 2 with the remaining half of the ingredients and keep on stirring.
  • Serve with a sprig of mint for that herbal hit.
